Line 1 - Governance, International Politics, and Foreign Policy:
Study of the processes of interaction between domestic and international dynamics, their actors, strategies, and the production and dissemination of norms in various areas and issues.
Line 2 - Regionalism:
Analysis of the theoretical and conceptual aspects of regionalism, contemporary dynamics, and new perspectives.
Line 3 - International Political Economy:
Analysis of the role of States and non-state actors in the transformations in the world economy and the various dimensions of the capital globalization processes.
Line 4 — Studies on the United States:
Studies on North American institutions and policy-making mechanisms in various areas: the foreign relations of the United States, its insertion in international institutions, and its human rights activities.

PEACE, DEFENCE AND INTERNATIONAL SECURITY
Line 1 - Strategic Thinking, Defense, and Foreign Policy:
Theoretical foundations on strategic thinking, relations between defense policies, and foreign policies. The cases of South American countries.
Line 2 — Peace Studies, Conflict Resolution, and Crisis Management:
Variants of peace studies, theoretical-philosophical matrices on peace, conflict resolution mechanisms, forms of conflict management, and Specific cases.
Line 3 - International Security Studies, Regional Security, New themes, and Approaches:
Approaches to International Security studies: positivist and post-positivist approaches; characteristics of regional security, regional security complexes, security communities. New themes and new approaches based on an epistemological and ontological perspective.
Line 4 - International conflicts and violence in contemporary societies:
Causes of international conflicts, perspectives from the Global South, post-colonialist approaches, and structural violence.
