PROGRAM HISTORY

The Graduate Studies in International Relations San Tiago Dantas (PPGRI STD) of the Interinstitutional Program [the São Paulo State University - (Unesp), the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), and the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (Puc-SP)] resulted from a special project of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES).

With this association, the Program has used, since 2003, the resources of these three universities, evincing a new teaching and research capacity. In its history, the Program offered innovations in the management of graduate courses and helped to strengthen the area of International Relations.

Since the initial consolidation of its academic master’s degree and the success of its lato-sensu graduate specialization course in International Economic Negotiations, the challenge to the PPGRI STD grew since the incorporation of a doctorate degree in 2010.
